In October 2007 Johann Strobl joined RZB as Chief Risk and Financial Officer. Since then RZB has increasingly been moving group-oriented, active portfolio management to centre stage.    RZB's Risk Management activities are based on the following Risk Policy Priciples: Risk awareness by transparent disclosure of information Prudential attitude towards taking risks and demand of a minimum return State-of-the-art risk management and controlling Compliance with all regulatory requirements Credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk as principal risk categories Consistent and coherent risk management by the use of uniform methods and measures Consistent risk treatment and risk-oriented authority schemes Independency of business and risk management/controlling units Regular reassessment of strategy papers and regular reviews of policies Standard evaluation and approval processes for new products and markets
